Working Lunch

Oooooh darlings, I ventured out today and had the most brilliant time with my wonderful editor, Kate.

She took me to Hutong, the Chinese restaurant on the 33rd floor of the Shard, with breathtaking views across London.

We chatted, um, cough, worked over a delicious Dim Sum tasting menu alongside mango and pomegranate vodka cocktails followed by honey and ginger ice cream with a pot of peony tea, which as a massive tea fan, I can honestly say is one of the most delicate and fragrant leafs I’ve ever tried.

After we had finished celebrating the end of the editing process for The Great Village Show, out July 2nd in eBook (NEXT WEEEEEEK, EEEEEP!) and July 30th in paperback, we moved on to talking about my plan for the next book which I’ll be starting on July 1st for publication next Spring.

And I’m thrilled and very relieved to say that my editor absolutely loves it. I can’t say too much about it yet, not because I want to be an annoying tease, but simply because I don’t know how the story will completely pan out yet, but I can tell you that it is set in Tindledale and the title is …. The Mystery of Orchard Cottage! And the really scary thing is that this book is already up on Amazon, so I guess I had better get on and write the story.

I hope you are all managing to enjoy this lovely sunshine.

Bye for now.

Luck and love
