Back in June, when ICE CREAMS AT CARRINGTON’S was published, the nice people at Sainsbury’s ran a competition for three people, plus their guests, to join me at the iconic Fortnum & Mason department store for ice cream in The Parlour.
So last Saturday I had the pleasure of meeting a group of very lovely, clever and funny people, for laughs and chats about my new novel, THE GREAT CHRISTMAS KNIT OFF, out on Nov 6th, in addition to a whole range of other super exciting things, most importantly the new series of REVENGE, while we tucked into the biggest ice cream sundaes I’ve ever seen.
I had such a nice time and felt quite emotional that they had made the effort to travel from so far away to join me, and there’s more, they brought gifts – flowers and necklaces for QT and me. I love my readers, they really are the best.
Here are some pictures taken at the event, there would have been more, but I was too busy working my way through the enormous gin & tonic sorbet with an orange marmalade scoop on the side. Mm-mmm as Georgie Hart, aka star of the Carrington’s series, would say.
