And what a day it was.
By 11am my house was channelling a gloriously fragrant flower shop following deliveries from my darling Dad, the brilliant fiction team at HarperCollins, my lovely husband and gorgeous friends.
By 1pm I was overwhelmed by all the congratulatory messages on Twitter and Facebook, and then seeing this in Asda, well, it it made me cry.. happy tears of course.
So by the time I arrived in London for the launch party at Adam Street Private Members Club on the Strand, I was totes emosh and extremely grateful for the champagne toast with my editor, Kate, before getting stuck into the delicious red velvet cupcakes with buttercream icing underneath the twinkly disco ball.
