After losing our darling Dusty Dog a few months ago, we decided it was time to find a friend for Monty Dog – he was getting very subdued and, well, downright lonely without her.
Now, I’m a huge fan of serendipity, and I truly believe that if you put it out there then the universe, God, fate or whatever delivers and that’s exactly what happened to bring Puppy Oscar to us. To cut a long story short, Mr B and I were having a chat about how we were going to go about finding a new black Labrador to join our family, when – and no word of a lie, a few minutes later a Facebook friend posted about her friend who was reluctantly looking to rehome her black Labrador puppy. Cue much excitement, phone calls and text messages and an eager 2.5 hour drive, we met Puppy Oscar and fell in love with him right away. He’s bright, cheeky, affectionate (he loves climbing on my lap and nibbling my earlobes – it’s true lurrrve )
So here he is…
And the most serendipitous thing of all – he is so similar to Dusty Dog, he lifts his front paw when he’s sniffing something interesting, he loves soft blankets, he runs like she did, he stretches like she did, he snores on the sofa in my office like she did, i could go on and on…. it’s uncanny and I’m convinced she’s come back to us!
